The Pompidou celebrates this French photojournalist who once rubbed shoulders with Man Ray and Robert Capa
Alongside Man Ray and Robert Capa, the French photojournalist Gaston Paris was a fixture in the pages of the French weekly Vu throughout the 1930s – though his work is little known today. This exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in Paris (19 January–18 April) retraces his career from early, Surrealist-influenced works to late prints of the 1960s and ’70s.
