Gallery Director, Edouard Malingue Gallery, Hong Kong
Few galleries in Hong Kong can match the Edouard Malingue Gallery for the verve with which it brings together Eastern and Western art; the gallery opened in 2010 with a Picasso exhibition and now represents artists reaching from the Scottish abstract painter Callum Innes to the Indonesian video artists Tromarama. Co-founder Lorraine Kiang Malingue, who set up the gallery with her husband, has a strong international background and outlook: born in Hong Kong, she studied at New York University, and interned at the Met and the Guggenheim in the city before joining Christie’s in New York and Hong Kong.
