Mi You is professor of Art and Economies at the University of Kassel / documenta Institut. Her research and curatorial work combines history, philosophy and political theory with a focus on performance and new media art, and is geared particularly to exploring the interconnections of the art world across and between Europe and Asia. Recent projects, such as ‘Lonely Vectors’ at the Singapore Art Museum (2022), have explored the social impact of new technologies. You has curated exhibitions and programmes at the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju, the Ulaanbaatar International Media Art Festival and the Zarya CCA in Vladivostok. Along with Binna Choi, she organised the research and curatorial platform ‘Unmapping Eurasia’ in 2018. You was one of the curators for the Shanghai Biennale in 2020–21; she is chair of the committee on Media Arts and Technology at the NGO Common Action Forum.
