Omar Kholeif is a tireless curator, writer and editor, whose work on modern and contemporary art has often focused on the impact of technology and new media. Prior to his move to Chicago in 2015, Kholeif was curator at the Whitechapel Gallery, London – where he organised a major survey of post-internet art – and senior curator at Cornerhouse and HOME in Manchester. He recently founded the Global Vision Initiative at the MCA, to support exhibitions and acquisitions by artists from Africa, South Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, and bring their work to international attention.
