TEFAF Maastricht, the world’s most prestigious art fair is delighted to present the first in this year’s TEFAF Talk series: ‘Presentation and Protection: the Art of the Frame’
Thomas Marks, Editor of Apollo, will chair an interesting and informal conversation with the National Gallery’s Caroline Campbell (Curator of Italian Paintings before 1500), Letizia Treves (Curator of Italian and Spanish Paintings 1600-1800), Peter Schade (who heads up the gallery’s Framing Studios) and TEFAF Board Member and Italian Old Master dealer, Fabrizio Moretti. The panel will discuss the importance of frames and their relationship to the works they surround within the context of the re-hang, frames and paintings in The National Gallery’s Lower Gallery A.
