35 | Curator, Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm, Sweden
With ‘The Image of War’, a group exhibition held at the end of last year at the Bonniers Konsthall, Theodor Ringborg returned to the themes that first brought him success as a curator when in 2010 he won the Fifth Curator competition with a proposal for ‘Fall Out: War and Conflict in the British Council’s Collection’, which was exhibited at the Whitechapel Gallery. Ringborg’s recent examination of the representation of violence, which included artists such as Martha Rosler and Trevor Paglen, reveals a bold and urgent mind – one also focused on a curatorial PhD at Goldsmiths. Ringborg has published several books and anthologies, including Read by/Written by and The Art of Memory, and he has contributed to Artforum, Mousse and Cabinet.
