Curatorial Manager, Asian and Pacific Art, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, Australia
After eight years as the director of Sydney’s 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Aaron Seeto took up his post at QAGOMA in 2015. Here he was plunged into working on the institution’s eighth Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT8) – a huge endeavour, which featured more than 80 artists and groups from across the Asia Pacific region. In Seeto’s time at 4A, he commissioned major projects and solo exhibitions by artists such as Song Dong and Shen Shaomin, and bolstered the Sydney non-profit organisation’s reputation as a leading institution for contemporary Asian art and for intercultural dialogue through the arts.
