To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of El Greco, the Met will display nine of the artist’s paintings from its holdings, alongside six loans from the Hispanic Society of America. The exhibition coincides with ‘El Greco at the Frick Collection’, which displays the three other paintings by the artist in a New York public collection.
