The Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla achieved considerable success in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This exhibition looks particularly at his reception in the United States: he held his first solo exhibition at The Hispanic Society of America in 1909, and his work subsequently toured the country with great success.
