With objects from key historic sites such as Palmyra, Damascus and the citadel of Aleppo, as well as immersive video installations that enable viewers to encounter these sites prior to the destruction they have suffered from in Syria’s long civil war, this exhibition stakes a claim for the significance of the nation’s heritage in world history.
