The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (25 May–11 September) traces the career of Dorothy Iannone over six decades with this display of paintings, prints and three of the artist’s original video sculptures. The American artist’s riotously sexual, psychedelic imagery is given ample exposure, while the exhibition also considers the importance of the artist’s references to ancient cultures present in artworks such as An Icelandic Saga (1978, 1983, 1986) which tells a romantic story featuring Iannone herself and the Swiss artist Dieter Roth. At the heart of the show are pages from the artist’s A Cookbook (1969) – a hand-written recipe book which features a recipe for gazpacho, as well as drawings and personal anecdotes.
