Before joining the Showroom this autumn, Elvira Dyangani Ose was senior curator at the New York-based non-profit Creative Time, which supports public art and the production of socially engaged artworks. She is a lecturer in visual cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London, and her curatorial and academic research has focused on the links between global art, postcolonialism and museum studies. As a member of the Thought Council at Fondazione Prada, she has curated exhibitions in Milan of work by Theaster Gates, Nástio Mosquito and Betye Saar; her credits at Tate Modern, where she was a curator for international art from 2011–14, include co-curating ‘Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary Modernist’ in 2014.
