This display at the Corning Museum of Glass tells the story of the ‘glass of wine’ – that is, how grape and goblet have gone together for many thousands of years. Among the highlights are a glass fragment depicting a grape harvest from more than 2,000 years ago, a full glass bottle recovered from a shipwreck off the English coast in the 18th century and, at the heart of the display, an array of drinkware of all shapes and sizes from across the world. The exhibition runs from 3 July–31 December; find out more from the Corning Museum’s website.
