Paris Tableau, a fair specialising in Old Master paintings, opened this week in Paris. Twenty-six of Europe’s leading dealers are exhibiting this year, with works ranging from medieval panel paintings to 19th-century portraits. In addition, a special exhibition has been organised in partnership with the Musée du Louvre that highlights works donated by individuals to public collections. We spoke to two exhibitors, Matteo Grassi and Georges de Jonckheere, in advance of the fair. Below is a selection of highlights from their and other stands.
Paris Tableau is at the Palais Brongniart from 13–16 November.
