Kate Fowle appointed as director of MoMA PS1 | Kate Fowle has been appointed as the new director of MoMA PS1 in New York. The post of director at the museum has remained vacant since last October when Klaus Biesenbach, who had held the position for more than a decade, became director of MOCA in Los Angeles. Fowle was the founding chief curator at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, and is currently director-at-large of Curators International.
Goodman Gallery names Jo Stella-Sawicka as London director | Johannesburg-based Goodman Gallery has announced that Jo Stella-Sawicka will be the first director of its London gallery, which will open in autumn this year. Stella-Sawicka is currently the artistic director of Frieze Art Fair, having worked at Frieze for nine years.
Paris Photo to launch fair in New York in 2020 | Paris Photo has announced that it will host its first edition in New York in April 2020. The new fair, which will be held at Pier 94, will be presented with the Association of International Photography Art Dealers. Paris Photo has previously held three Los Angeles editions, discontinued in 2017.
