While many museums remain shuttered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Apollo’s usual weekly pick of exhibitions will include shows at institutions that are now reopening as well as digital projects providing virtual access to art and culture.
Equipped with an industrial spray gun, the German artist Katharina Grosse makes vast, colourful installations, transforming the surfaces of the architectural sites where she works. This display at the Hamburger Bahnhof spills out from the exhibition halls to incorporate the exterior of the gallery and the public space beyond it. An attempt to blur the distinction between inside and out, the exhibition is also a vivid return for the museum in Berlin, which reopens to the public on 14 June (the display continues until 1 January 2021). Find out more from the Hamburger Bahnhof’s website.
