Kyle DeWoody has made a name for herself in the art world as co-founder and creative director of Grey Area, an online art-retail site launched in 2011, which commissions and sells design objects by contemporary artists. While this taps into emerging talent, she has also secured works by leading names such as Kiki Smith, Tracey Emin and Rudolf Stingel. It’s an unsurprising career move given that art is in her family: she is the daughter of prominent art collector Beth Rudin DeWoody and the painter James DeWoody. ‘Do some research before you buy,’ she advises would-be collectors.
