For this retrospective at the Sainsbury Centre, Norwich (until 12 December), the Japanese-Swiss artist Leiko Ikemura has picked out some 50 works, spanning the last three decades, that show the artist at her most mystical and perhaps most playful. Named ‘Usagi in Wonderland’ after the Japanese for ‘rabbit’ (a common character in her work), Ikemura’s first solo show in the UK demonstrates her long-standing belief in the interconnectedness of the natural world, and the fantastically imaginative creations to which it leads.
