Paolo Veneziano: Art and Devotion in 14th-Century Venice

9 July 2021

This focused display at the Getty Center in Los Angeles (13 July–3 October) reunites panels from a long-dispersed altarpiece by the foremost painter in trecento Venice. Also on show are a selection of Veneziano’s other paintings on loan from collections in Italy, the US and elsewhere – plus works by the artist’s contemporaries, including paintings and textiles, which contextualise Veneziano’s achievements within the broader material culture of his day. Find out more from the Getty’s website.
