A Brussels-based dealer in African art, Patric Didier Claes has come a long way in the past decade, from sourcing hard-to find objects for dealers around the world to setting up his own gallery and even curating exhibitions at public museums. This year, he participated in TEFAF for the first time, having already made a splash at BRAFA in Brussels and the Biennale des Antiquaries in Paris. Didier Claes is relatively unusual on this list for being a young dealer in a non-contemporary field, testament to the fact that while youth necessarily limits experience, it is no barrier to expertise.
