There are two major routes to getting noticed in the business of art. Some strike out on their own, opening their own spaces and blazing a new trial. Others, like Serena Cattaneo Adorno, navigate the existing infrastructure of the market to make their mark. Since launching Gagosian’s first Paris gallery in 2010 following a stint in London, she has caught the eye with inventive shows and collaborations, so much so that she was able to open a second Gagosian space in the city in 2012.
