With its usual emphasis on cross-collecting, Masterpiece London returns to the Royal Hospital Chelsea with its usual eclectic mix of exhibitors (30 June–6 July). Highlights of the presentations from the 130 exhibitors this year include Robilant + Voena’s curated presentation titled ‘The Dandy’, which considers the evolution of menswear and include Jacques-Émile Blanche’s Portrait of Georges de Port-Riche (1889). This year’s show also sees works by the Pop artist Peter Blake, courtesy of Waddington Custot, and a first edition of Jane Austen’s Emma in three volumes at the booth of Peter Harrington Rare Books. Triceratops skull ‘Triceratops prorsus’ (c. 68–66 million years ago)

Discovered in Weston County in Wyoming in 2019, this dinosaur skull from the Cretaceous period will be presented by David Aaron.

Terry Frost (1915–2003)
Osborne Samuel
Painted a year before Terry Frost moved from St Ives to Oxfordshire in 1962, this work by the abstract painter Frost displays his love of Cornwall’s light and colour.
George I walnut cabinet with pieta dura tablets (c. 1690)
Anthony Outred
Each drawer of this walnut cabinet is mounted with a pieta dura tablet depicting scenes from Tuscan villages. Flanked by marble pillars, the central door encloses five feather-banded drawers.
