In the last year of his life, Van Gogh became enthralled by the olive groves around the asylum to which he had been admitted at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. His 15 oil paintings depicting these trees are among his most impassioned works: ten of these have been gathered from museums throughout Europe and the Americas in this display at the Dallas Museum of Art (17 October–6 February 2022). A collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam (where it will travel next year), the exhibition is the first to focus on this important series. Find out more from the DMA’s website.
